29 weeks

How far along? 29 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Butternut squash. 15-17 inches long and 2.5-3.8 pounds.
Total weight gain: About 21 pounds.
Stretch marks? Drinking a ton of water and layering up with lotions to try and prevent them as long as possible. I bought a Lush massage bar this last weekend and looooove it.
Maternity clothes? Maternity pants all day, err day. And maxi skirts.
Sleep: The same as last week. I've been getting up twice a night to go to the bathroom. Usually around 12 am and 5 am. Also tossing and turning a lot at night to get comfy.
Best moment this week: This week has been so busy, hence why this post is so late. Chris hung the curtains in the nursery, my mother in law hosted a bridal shower for my brother in law's fiancĂ© and on Sunday I found a few cute maternity dresses and finished Caleb's mobile with my sister!
Miss anything? Nothing I can think of....
Food cravings: None this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: BOY!!!!!
Labor signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Still drinking a ton of water and peeing nonstop, leg cramps in the middle of the night, an itchy belly and my sciatica bothers me every now and then.
Belly button in or out?  In. Still hasn't popped out yet.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy and sassy still.
Looking forward to: Our maternity pictures on the 4th!

My last prenatal appointment went well and now I'll be seeing my doctor every 2 weeks until I hit the 36 week mark. Our breastfeeding class was very informative and worth attending. It definitely motivated me more to breastfeed and answered some questions I had. This post is super late, but better late than never! Hopefully my next update won't be so far behind.

28 weeks!

How far along? 28 weeks!
Baby is the size of an: Eggplant... Which I'm pretty sure one of my apps said he was the same size a few weeks ago.  Still about 15 inches long and 2.5 pounds.
Total weight gain: About 21 pounds.
Stretch marks? Drinking a ton of water and layering up with lotions to try and prevent them as long as possible.
Maternity clothes? Maternity pants all day, err day. And maxi skirts.
Sleep: The same as last week. I've been getting up twice a night to go to the bathroom. Usually around 12 am and 5 am. Other than that, sleep has been pretty decent.
Best moment this week: Finally finding curtains for Caleb's nursery that I like!
Miss anything? Nothing I can think of....
Food cravings: I had a really strong craving for fish and chips with lemon this week. I never crave fish and chips! So, on my lunch break at work I satisfied my craving and ate.it.all. It was amazing! The same day I wanted a soft served ice cream cone from McDonalds and got that as well. Not a great day for healthy eating, but those kind of days are few and far between for me so I didn't feel guilty at all.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: BOY!!!!!
Labor signs: Last night I'm pretty sure I experienced Braxton Hicks for the first time. I know they're not anything to be concerned about and aren't close to the real thing, but they definitely took me by surprise!
Symptoms: Still a bit congested and the sore/tender spot to the left of my belly button in the afternoons/evenings comes and goes. One day it'll hurt and I can't get Caleb to move and the next day I don't feel it at all. I've been extra thirsty this week and have been waking up super thirsty in the middle of the night, which doesn't help my frequent peeling..... Which has also increased this week. Seems like as soon as I leave the bathroom I have to go again.
Belly button in or out?  In. Still hasn't popped out yet.
Wedding rings on or off: On. I've noticed my ring is harder to get off in the mornings then in the evenings. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? I'm drinking a ton of water every day, a gallon or more, to prevent swelling and I definitely think it's been helping during the day.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy and sassy still.
Looking forward to: Seeing Whitney Cummings at The Improv tonight! We're in need of a date night for sure. Our next prenatal appointment is Monday and then our breast feeding class is on Tuesday.

I am officially in the third trimester this week! Where has the time gone? This pregnancy has gone by so quickly and I'm amazed with the little life growing inside me. Caleb is constantly moving and rolling around now and his movements are getting so much stronger. I absolutely love feeling him move and am in awe all the time. I know I'll miss that the most when he's born.

The nursery is still a work in progress decoration wise. I'm on my third set of curtains for the nursery, but I think I finally found ones that I really like. We're going to put some floating shelves up for Caleb's books near our glider and a sign with an amazing quote our friends Jesse and Traci got us on the wall near his crib. There's a sign I want to buy off Etsy as well and then just hang some picture frames on another wall. We also want to install a ceiling fan in his room and buy a side table to go next to the glider.  I think it'll all come together nicely and can't wait to see it complete!

27 weeks

How far along? 27 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Rutabaga.  Still about 15 inches long and 2.5 pounds.
Total weight gain: About 19 pounds.
Stretch marks? Just the one on my boob. Drinking a ton of water and layering up with lotions to try and prevent them as long as possible.
Maternity clothes? Maternity pants all day, err day. And maxi skirts.
Sleep: This week I've been consistently getting up twice a night to go to the bathroom. Usually around 12 am and 5 am. Other than that, sleep has been pretty decent.
Best moment this week: Passing my glucose test! The normal range is between 70 and 139 and my results were 77. Pass me the cake, ice cream and cookies! Juuuust kidding! The glucose test really wasn't that bad. I just felt so exhausted while waiting for my blood to be drawn and afterwards.
Miss anything? Nothing I can think of....
Food cravings: Nothing this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: BOY!!!!!
Labor signs: Hopefully not for a very long time!
Symptoms: This week I've been congested and just plain tired.  I still can't eat that much for dinner without getting full quickly and I'm still getting that sore/tender spot to the left of my belly button in the afternoons/evenings which I'm pretty sure is a result of Caleb pushing out and laying on a specific area for too long.
Belly button in or out?  In.  Still hasn't popped out yet.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Moody this week....
Looking forward to: Seeing Whitney Cummings at The Improv Sunday night! Can't wait for a good laugh.

So this week I've been pretty annoyed with people's comments related to what I should and shouldn't be doing since I'm pregnant. Apparently when you're pregnant it's a free for all for others to give unsolicited advice and suggestions and it's really freaking annoying. From being told not to lift a folding chair that weighs less than 5 pounds, not reach higher than my head and my favorite of all.... A co worker telling me I shouldn't have eaten a piece of cake and a cookie because it has no nutritional value to me or the baby and it's just empty calories. Seriously? I'm pregnant, not disabled. I lift way more than 5 pounds at the gym and if I want to eat a damn cookie and piece of cake, I'm going to. Obviously I know it's not the best thing for me, but I rarely eat sweets and eat healthy the majority of the time. So, needless to say I have been pretty snappy with people who feel the need to tell me what I should and shouldn't be doing. Thanks, but no thanks for your advice!

26 Weeks!

How far along? 26 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Head of lettuce. About 15 inches long and 2.5 pounds. I've never seen a head of lettuce that's 15 inches long, but hey.....
Total weight gain: As of my appointment on Tuesday, I've gained about 17 pounds.
Stretch marks? Just the one on my boob. Drinking a ton of water and layering up with lotions to try and prevent them as long as possible.
Maternity clothes? Maternity pants all day, err day. And maxi skirts.
Sleep: Some nights I only get up once to go pee and other nights I get up about four times. My belly has been putting some strain on my lower back when I sleep on my side, so I got a Boppy wedge this weekend to help.
Best moment this week: My mom came to visit this weekend and we were constantly on the go running errands for Caleb's shower, looking for nursery decorations and putting together the invitations for the shower.  My mom also bought us a pack 'n play and wipe warmer, which of course are already set up!  It was a super busy weekend, but so nice to have her here.
Miss anything? Nothing I can think of....
Food cravings: Dill pickles!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: BOY!!!!!
Labor signs: Hopefully not for a very long time!
Symptoms: Still can't eat that much for dinner without getting full quickly.  Last Saturday my ankles swelled up but I'm pretty sure that was due to sitting in a car for 7 hours : / Since then, my ankles and feet have been completely normal. I've been getting pains in certain areas of my belly, which I'm pretty sure are a result of Caleb pushing out and laying on a specific area for too long.
Belly button in or out?  In.  It's definitely getting more shallow and wider if the makes sense?
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: I've been a complete sassafras and a hormonal mess this week. Sometimes I just need to cry for no reason.
Looking forward to: Decorating the nursery, Caleb's shower and taking our maternity pictures in May.

My prenatal appointment on Tuesday went well. Although our little guy is in the 95% percentile for growth, my uterus is measuring right on track. I think we're just gonna have a long baby, go figure! I have to take the glucose test within the next week or 2 to check for gestational diabetes, but I'm not too worried about it. Our next appointment is April 20th and then I'll be going in every 2 weeks until I'm 36 weeks pregnant. So crazy to think I'm almost in the third trimester- time is flying!
