33 weeks

How far along? 33 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Honeydew melon. 19 inches long and 4 1/2 pounds.
Total weight gain: 25 pounds.
Stretch marks? Drinking a ton of water and layering up with my Lush massage bar and lotions to try and prevent them as long as possible.
Maternity clothes? Everyday! Maternity pants/shorts, maxi skirts and dresses.
Sleep: I've pretty much said good bye to restful sleep. Between tossing and turning and getting up to go pee throughout the night, I'm just plain exhausted during the day. Although at night I seem to get a boost of energy and have to tell myself to go to bed.
Best moment this week: Caleb's shower! So many of our friends and family came to celebrate, we definitely feel very blessed to have so many people that care about us and our little man.
Miss anything? Nothing new.
Food cravings: None this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: BOY!!!!!
Labor signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Peeing nonstop. Just went to the bathroom? Gotta go again. I might as well just live in the bathroom! My ankle swelling hasn't been that bad at all this week, although it comes and goes. Acid reflux has been insane this week and I'm eating Tums like they're candy. It's really ridiculous. I haven't had much of an appetite this week and nothing in particular sounds good to eat. I get full so easy and really haven't been that hungry lately. My belly has also been very itchy this week, so I know little man is growing.
Belly button in or out?  It's in the weird stage where it's pretty much flush with my belly. Not an innie, but not an outtie. It's so weird!
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time:  Im equally happy and moody. Still a sassafras.
Looking forward to: My last day of work- June 19th! I am so counting down the days and looking forward to not working!

Caleb's movements have gotten more intense and frequent this week. He really does move non stop and I can tell when he has the hiccups! Chris and I can't seem to stay out of Caleb's nursery this week. I've been doing loads and loads of his laundry and getting things situated. We love being in his room and just organizing his things. I'm pretty sure we're BOTH nesting lol.

Everything checked out at our prenatal appointment this week. My belly is measuring just a few days ahead of where it should be and my blood pressure is still really good!

32 weeks

How far along? 32 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Head of Lettuce. 19 inches long and 4 pounds.
Total weight gain: 23 pounds. I've actually lost a few pounds this week. I know it's because little man is moving up higher and shrinking my stomach. I just can't eat that much any more without getting full really fast.
Stretch marks? Drinking a ton of water and layering up with my Lush massage bar and lotions to try and prevent them as long as possible.
Maternity clothes? Everyday! Maternity pants/shorts, maxi skirts and dresses.
Sleep: Pretty much the same as last week! Getting up at least twice to go to the bathroom and tossing and turning.
Best moment this week: Caleb's nursery is pretty much done! We have it decorated, just have to get pictures for the frames. I love how it turned out and can't wait to have our little guy in there.
Miss anything? Nothing new.
Food cravings: None this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: BOY!!!!!
Labor signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Peeing nonstop. Just went to the bathroom? Gotta go again. My ankle swelling hasn't been that bad at all this week. Still having vivid and odd dreams. This week I dreamt I grew an extra toe on each foot because I was pregnant! Still scatter brained, clumsy, tired and acid reflux is still awful! No back pain or anything like that, thank God.
Belly button in or out?  In. Still hasn't popped out yet! Although it's only a matter of days before that happens now.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time:  Im equally happy and moody. Still a sassafras.
Looking forward to: Caleb's shower tomorrow!! I can't believe it's already here. Time has flown by. And my last day of work- June 19th!

31 Weeks

How far along? 31 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Pineapple. 17 inches long and 3.5 pounds.
Total weight gain: 25 pounds.
Stretch marks? Drinking a ton of water and layering up with my Lush massage bar and lotions to try and prevent them as long as possible.
Maternity clothes? Everyday! Maternity pants/shorts, maxi skirts and dresses.
Sleep: Pretty much the same as last week! Getting up at least twice to go to the bathroom and tossing and turning.
Best moment this week: Taking our maternity pictures on Monday!! So much fun and it ended up being a gorgeous day in the mountains.
Miss anything? Nothing new.
Food cravings: None this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: BOY!!!!!
Labor signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Peeing nonstop and feeling little man digging his heel, elbow or whatever other body part into my bladder, occasional ankle swelling, vivid and odd dreams, scatter brained, clumsy, tired and heartburn/acid reflux has been awful this week! I've been eating Tums like they're candy. Pretty much anything you think wouldn't give you heartburn, gives me heartburn- water, cereal, gum, milk, cottage cheese and watermelon. So weird.
Belly button in or out?  In. Still hasn't popped out yet.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy.
Looking forward to: Caleb's shower next weekend!! And my last day of work- June 19th!

This week has been so busy for us! On Monday we took our maternity pictures with the same photographer who did our engagement and wedding pictures. We planned on doing them at a park in Yucaipa, but when I woke up on Monday it was cloudy and the forecast didn't look the greatest. I got a hold of our photographer and after going back and forth on whether we wanted to reschedule or change locations, we decided to change locations. We ended up going to Running Springs where we were above the clouds and the weather was beautiful. Our photographer is from Running Springs, so she knows a lot of hidden places that are gorgeous. We got a sneak peak at a couple of our pictures and I can't wait to see the rest!

On Tuesday night, we had the first session of our four part birth class. We worked on relaxation and breathing techniques and the basics of what to expect when labor starts. Fun stuff!

On Wednesday, I had a prenatal appointment that Chris wasn't able to go to due to his work schedule, but it wasn't a big deal. Just the typical check in where they weigh you, take your blood pressure, measure your belly and listen to the baby's heart. So far so good. I'm measuring right at 31 weeks, my blood pressure is still good and Caleb's heart beat was 139.

After my prenatal appointment, I went to my primary doctor's office to get the Tdap shot. The shot itself wasn't a big deal- I hardly felt it at all, but later that evening and for a few days after, my arm was pretty sore and I still have a little bruise from the injection site. Super easy though, I was in and out of the office within 5 minutes!

On Wednesday night we decided to take advantage of Chris being off work at a decent time and me taking half the day off for appointments to do the maternity ward tour at our hospital. They offer the tours every Wednesday night and don't require you to pre-register, so it worked out great. The nurse who did our tour was hilarious and brutally honest with everything, which I totally appreciate. Our hospital is definitely pro-breastfeeding and they like you to labor as long as possible at home to prevent unnecessary medical interventions. I'm definitely going to put 100% into breastfeeding and doing everything possible to make sure we're successful. We planned on staying home as long as possible when I go into labor as well and I'm not totally opposed to getting an epidural or other pain medication, but I do want to try to go without any meds for as long as possible. We'll see how I react when that time comes though!

30 Weeks

How far along? 30 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Winter squash. 15-17 inches long and 2.5-3.8 pounds.
Total weight gain: About 22 pounds.
Stretch marks? Drinking a ton of water and layering up with my Lush massage bar and lotions to try and prevent them as long as possible.
Maternity clothes? Everyday! Maternity pants/shorts, maxi skirts and dresses.
Sleep: I really haven't been sleeping well this week. Between getting up at least twice to go to the bathroom and tossing and turning, I haven't had a solid nights sleep in a while. Never mind the fact that little man thinks it's play time every time I lay down and when I go back to bed after going to the restroom. I love feeling him move, but his movements have gotten so strong that it's hard to go back to sleep when he's rolling around in there. And I know.... Get used to not sleeping now cause when baby comes, blah blah blah! : P
Best moment this week: I took the most amazing nap Thursday after work. Probably the best sleep I've gotten in awhile!
Miss anything? Solid sleep.
Food cravings: None this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: BOY!!!!!
Labor signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Peeing nonstop, I've been getting the urge to pee RIGHT NOW and I feel like little man likes to dig his heel into my bladder, occasional ankle swelling, vivid and odd dreams, an itchy belly, sciatic pain that leaves me with a nice limp when I walk occasionally and I've been pretty forgetful, scatter brained and clumsy lately. Apparently pregnancy brain is a real thing! I'm getting more tired in the afternoons and don't have much energy to do anything when I get home from work.
Belly button in or out?  In. Still hasn't popped out yet.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy and sassy still.
Looking forward to: Our maternity pictures on the 4th!

This week Caleb's movements have definitely gotten stronger. He's been rolling around like crazy and I can feel actual body parts poking me and moving across my belly. I have no idea when this guy sleeps because it seems like he's always moving around.

I can't believe we only have 10 weeks to go, give or take, until we meet our son. A lot of people keep asking me if I'm nervous about labor and delivery and right now, I'm not. I'm sure when I get closer to my due date I'll get nervous.  I'm looking forward to meeting our little guy and having him here. I definitely think our animals know a baby will be joining the family soon, especially our boy dog, DuWayne. He's been more affectionate lately and will randomly get up from playing with his toys and bring one to me. He never does that. Anyone who knows this dog knows how selfish he is with his toys and doesn't like sharing. He's a sweetheart and I can't wait for him to meet Caleb, I think they'll be best buds for sure.
